Staying informed and up to date on current economic news can be a very important concern. From business owners and private investors to job seekers and retirement planners, lacking for an effective news source about the current state of the economy can be a serious oversight. With the variations in the United States stock exchange that are seen everyday, many economic and business opportunities can be found and made use of. Investors who fail to stay current with such concerns may find themselves faced with a much bigger challenge when it comes to making the right business decisions.

Economies and exchanges that are large enough to influence economic and business concerns the world over are worth following closely. Lacking for a detailed and effective forecast about the economy may leave you unable to protect your financial assets and the long-term security that they are able to provide. Having access to a current source of economic news is never a concern that should be left to chance. Finding and making use of superior news sites and services will ensure that economic issues are far less likely to take you by surprise or leave you unprepared for any changes that the future may have in store.

If you grind your own meat you might consider continuing this practice. It was recently reported by a whistleblower that more than 70 percent of the meat sold in the United States contains a substance known as pink slime.

Originally reserved for dog food, pink slime was a term used to describe all the extra trimmings and bits of unappetizing meat that was cut out of the cow during the production phase. Now, pink slime is given a stringent ammonia bath before it is eventually reincorporated into the meat and sold on the market.

What does this mean for you? People all over the country have fired up their internet connection to weigh in on this shocking discovery and the response has been overwhelming. While the people in charge claim that there is nothing wrong with pink slime, many consumers simply aren’t buying into this and have even opted to switch over to new markets to avoid this phenomenon.

What does this mean for the meat market? Only time will tell. In this country, we eat a lot of meat and as the demand continues to rise, we may reach a point where people simply don’t care what they are eating.

Employees of the Leipzig Zoo made the determination to put down the loveable, crossed-eyed oppossum today, because after being listless and unable to move for many weeks, all medical testing could not determine anything wrong with the animal unless it was old age. German artist known only as Wolfgang B. has admitted to 14 paint forgeries in court yesterday, September 27. He is one of four people being charged with frasud totaling 22 million dollars. Germany Chancellor Merkel said that it had been voted that Germany would provide Greece with all required help and support so that Greece could become strong and remain in the Eurozone community. This was met with mixed opinions. Inflation in Germany has accelerated recently to 2.8 which is the fastest it has risen in three years. This is a rise from 2.4 in August. There is a hope of a slowing of the rise in 2012. Unions are seeking the return of siestas or napping to improve the health and performance of employees by cutting the risks of heart attacks and providing a much needed energy boost. In the long course this may lower the health care cost for employees. Many firms have gone so car as to provide a siesta room or nap area.
